Darren Wenner, Lehighton, PA Mfg Date Feb 1970 Body R022336 Model 7979-7 Trim 061E Paint 90A Prod # 12435 VIN # A0C797X212435 390, auto, power steering, floor shift, 3.15:1 gear ratio, original push button AM radio, power brakes, front sway bar, disc front brakes, center console, functional ram air, and side winders. Additonal factory options ordered by the dealership were the exterior right side mirror, electric wipers, light group and the "go" package. The vehicle came from the factory with ralley 5 spoke wheels (magnum 500's) and Goodyear E70 x 14 raised white letter tires with a full size spare still pressent as with two of the original tires. I am not the original owner and this car is not for sale. I purchased this car from it's original owner on May 12, 1999 with 33,689 miles on her. (She now has 34, 275). The original owner of this car purchased her on July 24th, 1970 from dealer code: 14-6282 which was the Harding's AMC Dealership located in Corning N.Y. After taking ownership, the original owner authorized the dealership to install the following additions: Trendsetters and Group 19 Mallory dual point ignition system with "Rev-Pol" dash mounted "street/strip" switch less mechanical tachometer. The Donohue is a Golden Lime Metallic with black C-stripe. The interior is the optional black corderoy material. The vehicle's build sheet was discovered hog ringed under the bottom of the rear seat cushion in the summer of 2002. Other than being an ordinary AMC Build Order Sheet, it states "Mark Donohue Special" at the center bottom of the sheet. Interestingly enough, the original owner frequented a nearby racetrack (Watkins Glenn). Upon at least one occassion, he met various members of the Penske Racing Team and even Mark Donohue himself. |
