I am original owner and car is not for sale.
I bought this car brand new at Meyer Motor Sales in Richmond, VA on July 3, 1970. This was the family car until 1980, when I bought a 1976 Matador 4-door. Today the car has 150,000 miles, and is driven on weekends, cruise nights and to car shows. I rebuilt the engine in 1994, it had broken the top ring land out of the No. 6 piston. Believe it or not the block is still standard bore. It had only .002 total taper in any cyclinder, and no ridge. This was at 126,000 miles. The car was repainted the original Hialeah Yellow in 1997.
I still have the window sticker and sales invoice. The car stickered for $4062.15. The payments were $86.00 per month for 36 months.
I bought the javelin after looking at a Charger, Torino, and a GTO. I have ever regretted it. I also still have my 1964 Rambler Classic 327 4V Twin Stick (will be restored at end of 2002), and my son has my mothers 1968 Ammbassador SST 343, and a 1974 Matador X both cars are in restoration. I was a big fan of Donohue and his Nascar counterpart Jim Pascal. The day I bought the car Jim Pascal won the Paul Revere 250 in a Javelin at Daytona International Speedway.
Below are some pictures, please be patient while they load. Thanks, Kenneth
