I've had this car for a little over three years and am the third owner. The car has a very interesting history...
According to documents supplied by the previous owner, it won 1st Place at the 6th Annual Richard Teague Midwest Regional AMO Meet & caught the eye of Dick Teague in the process. Mr. Teague then rode in the car and later even drove it.
Also, during 1994-95 this Donohue won a Senior Gold and the Mark Donohue Trophy for AMO, the best of class and best of show for NAMDRA, Senior Platinum and best of show for American Motorsports International. No other AMC has ever held the best of show distinction from all three of the clubs in a one year period.
Although the restoration job is starting to show it's age, the car is a blast to drive and still attracts many positive comments. I plan to drive it on those rare sunny Michigan days for the next few years, then give it a refresh.
